How to achieve privacy in these times.

Privacy is a thing of the past.  Some wintry evenings, we all can brood about all that was lost.  The reality is that privacy can be yours only if you are willing to be extremely boring.  No one wants to know about you.
To expect governments to not open your letters (the decent thing to do as taught in most homes) will simply not work.  They say all is fair in love and war but  missed the point about power.  Its not guns any more but your spying capabilities that give you an edge over other countries.  Though NSA is a lot in the news, China is way ahead in the spying game. It is well known that China spied on Chinese employees in the US for decades.  I for one got rid of the whimsical desire for privacy and am more enamoured by the power of spying.
