EU's mock anger about US surveillance

We have read spy vs spy comics and now we see some real spying played out in the media. The burning question now is, will angry EU offer asylum to Snowden? Or Assange? We think not.

Ecuador - a refuge for the whistle blowers?

Ecuador is emerging as the new asylum for famous people. From Julian Assange to Edward Snowden, Ecuador seems to be the chosen place. I wonder why. Snowden landed in Hong Kong to blow his whistle. If Ecuador proves to be what Assange believes, the next time, whistle blowers will land in Ecuador for doing their job. This indeed is an interesting development. Ecuador a small country with practically no army, and has nothing in their cards against powers that be, need to protect these huge personalities. Seriously, who can protect these people who are working for the freedom of the people? I think everyone is waiting for the day when American people will wake up and say enough is enough. Till then, lets see what Ecuador can do.

Free speech and democracy

The elected governments of democracies are afraid of free speech and that seems like a joke. Who cares? Provide some more stupid TV shows to keep minds occupied. People who like free speech will keep saying what they want no matter who gags them. But there are few listeners.

Edward snowden makes only a ripple

Everyone knows big brother is watching. So Edward is telling us nothing new. But whats new is the feeling of not wanting to live in such a world any more and the desire to be free and a return of beautiful privacy. Enough is enough, give us back our lives seems to be the mood prevailing these days. I am glad its finally happening.
